At MY Chiropractic, we want to help you to become the happiest and healthiest version of yourself.

Human beings were sculpted over thousands of years through their instinctive interactions with the environment. Movement, food and social interaction were some of the key elements on the journey to the modern human. The journey is inscribed in our DNA- it is the story of the hunter-gatherer; the story of evolution.

The careful crafting of Father Time has set us up to interact with Mother Nature and all that she has to offer, including challenges like weather and predators etc. The cornerstone to our evolution as a species has been the increased functioning and adaptability of the human brain. Our intelligence as a species has increased exponentially over time and, along the way, we have consequently been able to resolve some of the challenges that Mother Nature used to throw at us.

Unfortunately, in recent times we have seen large increases in chronic disease rates. This is because, in many instances, we have let the pendulum swing too far in the other direction. For example:

  • We no longer face the challenges of poor shelter and working environments. These challenges however, have been replaced with too many hours spent indoors being stationary. The consequences of this type of lifestyle include concerns such as weight issues, vitamin deficiencies, physical deterioration and lack of social interaction.
  • We no longer have to scavenge or hunt for food or go for days feeling hungry. These challenges however, have been replaced with processed, nutrient deficient and chemical laden foods. The consequences of these food choices include increased illness, decreased mental well being, weight problems, diabetes, cancer, heart disease and a long list of other concerns.

At MY Chiropractic we understand that today’s modern world is far removed from the routines of our primal ancestors. We also know however, that what made us who we are is what will continue to ensure that we operate at our best. Our aim is therefore to guide people back to balance by combining life’s current demands with the body’s current needs.

The end result… the happiest and healthiest version of you. Who doesn’t want that?
